OVERCAST 'Could Not Be Happier' With New Album Recordings
May 17, 2006OVERCAST, the reunited Massachusetts band which features in its ranks KILLSWITCH ENGAGE bassist Mike D'Antonio and SHADOWS FALL singer Brian Fair, recently entered the studio to begin re-recording 10-14 classic tracks and laying down two previously unreleased songs for a full-length album entitled "Reborn to Kill Again". Adam Dutkiewicz (KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) has signed on as producer of this endeavor for which a label deal has yet to be announced. The band issued the following update on the studio sessions:
"We are nearing the final days of the new OVERCAST recording. After today, just two days are left at the studio. Boy, oh boy, we could not be happier at the outcome of these new OVERCAST recording sessions. These songs have truly taken on a much meaner, more brutal tone than ever before. Words can't begin to describe how unbelievably proud we are of this. It seems that we have finally full realized his juggernaut of pummeling potential OVERCAST possesses. (Took long enough right?)"
OVERCAST's last performance for the foreseeable future will take place on Thursday, June 8, 2006 upstairs at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts.
